We are well and truly into Springtime! Look around and you’ll see flowers blooming and plants sprouting new growth. But what about your business, do you see green shoots appearing or is your talent looking a bit tired? Growing your business is like tending a garden. If you develop your good people, they will flourish but neglect them and you may lose them.

According to LinkedIn’s 2018 Workforce Learning Report, 93% of employees would stay at a company longer if it invested in their careers. They say that employees, especially millennials, are inspired by opportunities for personal growth. They want to know that their employer is interested in their long-term success.

Harvard Business Review also noted that when employees aren’t allowed to grow, they begin to feel that they don’t matter. They feel like a cog in a wheel, easily swapped out. If you aren’t invested in them, they won’t be invested in you, and even if they don’t walk out the door, they will mentally check out.

Do you have development plans for your key people? Do they have a clear view of their career path and opportunities to grow in the business? What skills will your people need for your business to prosper in the future? Access our free resources below to develop your people:
